This is undesirable if other locos are in the layout, as they could all be re-programmed! With the Auto Switch installed between the track output of the Power Cab, and the track, a separate programming track output is available, and the AUTO SWITCH operates like a DPDT switch to isolate the main track, and power the programming track, automatically! The Auto switch will also work with other DCC systems such as Digitrax.
