Asymmetric ABC Circuit for Lenz and Zemo

This is the same as a Lenz BM-1 Block Management Module

Automatic reversing for Push Pull operation on Spurs or intermediate stops now available with Lenz Gold or Silver series decoders

For Push Pull gap the Right Rail at each end and install BitSwitch Circuit

For intermediate stops in one direction the gap rail is always the RIGHT rail.
The engines will stop in sections getting the Asymmetric DCC feed.

See your Lenz or Zimo manuals for appropriate Decoder CV settings

CV settings allow for duration of stop time, momentum, distance to stop
and reverse option for push pull if desired.

The DCC signal in the brake section can be altered to an Asymmetric Signal
(Lenz Gold/Silver Decoders)

Track power for the brake section can be switched to Analog DC.
Most NMRA conformance decoders and LGB MTS.

DC Generator Toggle Version

The Brake Generator will work with all Decoders.

This Set Speed Zero Generator can be operated via CAB and is suitable for all systems. This device includes a "Set Speed Zero" packet encoder. This code generator broadcasts a set speed zero command and is addressable. Suitable for those layouts running Soundtrax, older NCE or other decoders that do not recognize DC conversion. A dedicated power booster is required.

A block bit-switch controls the moment of traffic in a block section. When the block section is occupied this will prevent other trains entering this block section. For more information on the block DCC Block Bitswitch Infomation.



You need one Brake Generator per layout. Please look in this Brake Generator section

This switch provides control for a station when the "DC Brake Generator BitSwitch" is set for automatic:

This switch uses a unique control scheme and is designed for a siding or station where one line divides at a station or siding and then merges to back to one line.


The train entering the siding/station will be stopped using CV4 and held until another train passes on the "Main Line".


When a second train passes on the "Main Line" it will not be stopped unless other traffic is still ahead on the line.


When the second train is clear of the next forward block the first train will be released to the main line using acceleration value CV3.


If a third train enters the controlled area on the "Main Line" before the train on the passing/station siding departs the train on the siding will continue to be held untill traffic allow re-entry to the "Main Line".

In any case the trains in that the station can be sent new commands for speed changes, lights, sound etc.. If a BitSwitch has stopped an engine, the new command will not be activated until the train is released.

Controls two blocks on lines that merge at a station where the operator wishes the trains to stop. Is compatible with all BitSwitch controls.

Controls one block immediately proceeding track points and checks the position of the points (closed or thrown) and also checks both lines following the points for occupancy. Is compatible with all BitSwitch controls.

This switch is similar to the "Station BitSwitch" in that it controls the merge of two lines or spurs to a single line. This switch provides control when the "DC Brake Generator BitSwitch" is set for automatic.

The first train arriving in the "Merge" blocks will be immediately released to the main line if the next block in the line is vacant.

The second train to enter the "Merge" blocks will be stopped using CV4 until the first train clears the next block in the main line.

If no trains are in forward blocks or on the adjacent line the train is not affected.

This switch has special application and may also be used to provide entry for a train into an automatic section of your layout from an uncontrolled section.

In any case the trains in the merge section can be sent new commands for speed changes, lights, sound etc.. If a BitSwitch has stopped an engine, the new command will not be activated until the train is released.

The Yard BitSwitch is used to prevent equipment entering the "Main Line" when the exit turnout is closed. When
the turnout is closed any train approaching the main line will observe a red signal and brake to a stop until the exit
turnout is thrown at which time the signal will display green and the train will be allowed to enter the "Main Line".
If there is an additional Block BitSwitch installed before the "Yard Siding" the "Release" is connected to terminal 3
of that Block BitSwitch.
The Yard BitSwitch can be used with twin coil or Bi-polar turnout motors. The power connections to the turnout
motor must be connected to the "From Turnout" terminals on the BitSwitch.
For Bi-polar motors connect one lead to the "minus terminal" and another to either "plus" terminal.
Note: If the Yard BitSwitch releases the train when the turnout is "CLOSED" reverse the leads.
For twin coil turnout motors connect the common power lead to the "minus terminal" and the other power leads to
the 2 "plus terminals"
Note: If the Yard BitSwitch releases the train when the turnout is "CLOSED" reverse the "plus" leads.

This is a 4 way Crossing Guard.
Brake Signal Generator is required


This BitSwitch may require a
"Set Speed Zero Packet Generator"
depending on the DCC decoders installed.
Some DCC decoders when using the "Brake on DC" method will not
BRAKE in both directions and are polarity dependent

For each line the trains may approach the crossing from the any direction in the automatic mode.

This BitSwitch can not integrate with any other BitSwitch products
Requires only 8 reed switch track triggers.
Suitable for all Scales

This is a 2 way Crossing Guard. For each line the trains must always approach the crossing from the same direction in the automatic mode.

This BitSwitch can not be share triggers with any other BitSwitch products But requires only 4 reed switch track triggers and is not suitable for Large Scale layouts.

This is a 2 way Crossing Guard (integrated). For each line the trains must always approach the crossing from the same direction in the automatic mode.

This BitSwitch can be used with any other BitSwitch products and will prevent "Crossing Collisions" when two trains approach a crossing.

If combined with other BitSwitches all triggers can be shared.

When the "DC Brake Generator BitSwitch" for that block (segment) is set for automatic then:


Trains entering the crossing area will be allowed to proceed on a first in first out basis.



The second train to enter the crossing on the intersecting line will be slowed to a stop and held.


When the first train clears the crossover the second train will proceed through the crossing.


When any train tries to enter a occupied crossing it will be stopped.

To automatically control multiple trains approaching the crossing on the same line installation of additional BitSwitch products is required.

In any case the trains in this crossing can be sent new commands for speed changes, lights, sound etc.. If a BitSwitch has stopped an engine, the new command will not be activated until the train is released.

This DC Block BitSwitch is designed to allow the operator to establish a minimum distance between trains traveling along a main line.

For Large Scale Track mounted Track Contacts are available at an extra charge.
These contacts are reed switches mounted on a small circuit board
suitable for concealment inside the hollow RR Ties found on LGB and Aristo Track.
