Control car BDt 1723 of the RhB, epoch VI, version with rectangular headlights.
Model with headlights and interior fittings.
In 1982 the RhB put the three BDt 1721-1723 control cars into service at the end of the procurement of the EW II standard cars. At first they could only be used with the ABe 4/4 501-504 railcars, later also with the modernized Ge 4/4 I - they were mostly used in the Engadine or between Davos and Filisur. In the mid-1990s, the front doors on the driver's cabs were locked; around 2006 the BDt received 1723 rectangular headlights.
In 2012-13 they underwent a fundamental modernization, in which they received a new front similar to the control car “NEVA Retica”, modern doors and, among other things, a braking device for Vereina car trains.
