Dont want to spend £50+ on a laser cut baseboard just to have a small diorama? Then the RLL-DB-001 and this RLL-DB-002 Diorama Standard End Baseboard cut kits are ideal for that small scene.
It measures 575mm in length, 375mm in width and has a front and side depth of 100mm, with the addition of a viewable 9 inch end side backscene to accommodate the smaller versions of the ID Backscenes that are available.
The kit simply glues together, using a stong adhesive/PVA and you can complete this in around 10 minutes, with a few additional minutes to hold it together whilst the glue starts to bond and dry.
It has a nice depth to allow the protection of any objects that you may place underneath, point motor, module etc. The under supports use the castellated beam style to give that additional strength and rigidity, whilst also having a number of small pre-cut holes under the board to allow the free-flowing of any cables that you may use underneath. This board can be used for either ends as the end panel can fit either end, so two of these, along with an RLL-DB-001 middle board would give you over 1700mm in length, or simply use two of these to have a nice 1m + diorama baseboard.
NB: These mini diorama baseboards are made from 3mm MDF and therfore should ONLY be used for display purposes, i.e , a diorama or if joining multiple ones together, to be fully sat on a flush study base top. These baseboards will make an ideal starter into modelling for later progression up to a larger style baseboard.
