It took my 5 minutes to drop one of these into a Bachmann E4. I then spent 5 minutes programming it in iTrain via a ROCO Z21 controller, and that just worked. When I put the loco on the track my Digikiejs DR5088RC feedback detector saw it and all I did then was change the polarity in CV29 to reflect which way the loco was facing.
